SEBASTIAN BROWN
“At the edge of this world lies another world from which all creativity flows. I gather ideas from there and turn them into melodies, so that this world may slowly become the other.”
Sebastian Brown creates hypnotic, ritualistic psychedelic folk shaped by long-form compositions, instinctive improvisation and cinematic atmospheres.
Born in Rome in 1985, Sebastian Brown is the musical project of self-taught multi-instrumentalist Daniele Mattioni. Recording alone in a house surrounded by woods, he has spent years building a deeply personal sonic universe influenced by spiritual and symbolic imagery.
His debut single Westwards — a 14-minute sonic and visual journey accompanied by a self-directed short film — introduces Windrose, the upcoming debut album. Conceived as a symbolic map inspired by the compass rose, the album expands Brown’s original home recordings into a powerful and hallucinatory experience.

A mystic journey through shamanic blues, psychedelic visions and post-rock landscapes. The debut single by Sebastian Brown was born from a long nocturnal improvisation.
The original 14:41 minutes long version is here included with a shorter single edit.
